From this Objects group of commands, see figure below, The System Administrator can view, see figure below, the organizational structure of the components of a building.
Components are defined as objects that compose and define a building (e.g. walls, doors and windows, installations or parts of installations).
To better manage Components and their properties, they may be assigned into several areas: into Groups, Sub-groups and Categories and Component Types.
Note: The structure of the components is defined at the system level and cannot be changed.
Components can be generated created via three different modes:
- Individual entry of each component via individual input “cards”
- Excel files import
- Import of via from one or more BIM Federated Models. For a more thorough understanding of how to manage the components, refer to the chapter “Components”
